Modelling!

Hi everyone!

Hope you have had a good weekend.

Seeing as we had such beautiful sunshine in Hertfordshire yesterday, we decided to take advantage of it and take some photos of the horses for my new business venture...all will be revealed in the beginning of October!!! Here are a few shap shots of the horses hard at work!

Having fixed up the stable ready for Winter, we stood (and I sat) on Tina (the Cortina) patiently awaiting the photographer...

The horses looked on bemused as I stood, lay and sat on hay bales...and could not understand why i'd been in the hay barn so long and they hadn't even been given a handful!

After a thorough groom, we began to smarten up our act!

And now for the voluntary group poses....

But after all that we were shattered! Time for an afternoon nap in the Sun! If only we were all so lucky!

Pig Oil and Sulphur!

Last night I painted on the pig oil and sulphur on to my neds legs to encourage his feathers to grow and keep them healthy. Today i've gone up and they look awful- every time I do it I forget how much the mud sticks to the outside to start with! However it'll all be worth it when they are long and glossy....I just hope they don't get ruined by the mud over the winter....! We shall see. As soon as they look less messy I will get a photo up here! Looking forward to my early morning ride tmrw :-) hope the sun shines xxx
ps- i'm looking for a new grooming box- any recommendations? I have loads of stuff to fit in so it needs to be big!!!

Trip to Burghley Horse Trials!

Hi all,
We went off to Burghley Horse Trials this weekend on Cross Country day and we had a brilliant time :-) !! The sun was shining and as usual I spent a lot of money. I thought i'd take the camera to try and get a few snaps but I have to admit I missed most of the vital moments! A lot of the photos came out just with the horse landing over the jump or disappearing out of view- haha! Oh well, here are the best ones! This is definately my best action shot...!!

Blog No 1!

Hi everyone! Thought i'd get my blog started with a few happy snaps of my ned!

At the moment I am trying to grow his feathers out- they look a bit muddy on the outside but are bright white underneath! I'm using some fabulous pig oil and sulphur to keep them in good condition and it's really helping. Many thanks to the lovely lady who gave me lots of advice on the horse and hound forum. If you are not registered i'd fully recommend it http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php. Off to Burghley Horse Trials over the weekend- I hope the sun will make an appearance???!!!
